The Spurs have been one of the best teams in the league for the past several years, and this time around they have been even better.

The reason being, the domination of Liverpool and Manchester City seem to be wobbly at the moment, and this is kind of the perfect opportunity to make the move for Jose Mourinho. And so far, the Portuguese gaffer and his boys have risen to the occasion.

This weekend, they are pitted against the Seagulls, who have been one of the worst squads in the competition in 2020-21. In fact, it has been nothing unexpected, as Graham Potter’s men have been a bottom-tier team in the last few years.

On top of that, Mourinho’s men have a great h2h record against this rival in the past two decades, and particularly so at home.

As such, expect Tottenham to record another win this Sunday, and continue their crusade for the PL title.

Tottenham v Brighton: match preview

Our prediction for this Premier League match:

Tottenham play host to Brighton at their Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on day 7 of the new Premier League campaign. Spurs have been producing fine displays in the 2020/21 season, but, due to the lack of concentration in the dying minutes of the games, they dropped too many points. Jose Mourinho’s troops are eager to stay in the race for the title, and we are positive that they will go all guns blazing at Brighton.

The Seagulls, on the other hand, have been struggling to find their best form at the start of the season, and seeing that Tottenham are a real force to be reckoned with at home, we predict that the visitors are going to Brighton and Hove empty-handed. Important defender Lewis Dunk remains on the sidelines through suspension for the visitors, which is yet another reason why home win should be considered.
