Aston Villa vs Liverpool
England – Premier League

Kick-off at 19:15 UK/ 20:15 CET
Venue: Villa Park.
Aston Villa and Liverpool face off on Sunday in a Premier League showdown at Villa Park.
Last season Aston Villa almost were relegated out of the Premier League last season but this season they hope they can finish closer to the middle or maybe even near the top. Aston Villa currently sits in 4th place inside the Premier League, and in the last game against Fulham they looked really good. Jack Grealish started off the scoring in the 4th minute, and they never looked back coming away with a 3-0 victory. In that game, Aston Villa actually struggled in terms of possession only having 35 percent of that, but they made the most of their opportunities and that led to a victory. If they want to win this game, they are going to need to be better with their possession because against a good team like Liverpool only 35 percent of the possession won’t be enough.
On the other side of this matchup is Liverpool who have dealt with some COVID issues, but this game still appears like it will happen. Liverpool standout Sadio Mane has tested positive for COVID and will be out for this one. Liverpool wants to repeat as Premier League champions this season and they have looked good so far this season. In Liverpool’s last game against Arsenal they actually fell behind 1-0, but that seemed to light a fire underneath them, and that led to a 3-1 victory. Mane was actually the person to start the scoring in that game. In that game Liverpool had 66 percent of the possession and they had eight shots on goal. Arsenal did have a midweek game against Arsenal that they lost, but that was a game they didn’t have many of their star players in.
Liverpool is the better team and they are going to have no issue getting the job done in this game. Look for Liverpool to run up the score and win this game -2.5.

Aston Villa vs Liverpool: Prediction
It has been a really bright start for Aston Villa after their relegation struggles last season and after two wins to start the campaign combined with some excellent signings to bolster the squad, the mood in the camp is excellent. They face a tough test against the champions who are playing some excellent football themselves right now as the win and display against Arsenal was exceptional on Monday. They expect to win every game they play right now and it is impossible to bet against them, but Villa may keep this close. Expect Dean Smith’s men to keep it close enough to avoid losing by more than a one-goal margin.
